Attached below are the 2008 Released Practice Exam FRQs. They are interesting because the College Board provided actual responses from students to the questions for various score levels, and then a brief commentary on why the students earned the points they did. You should download the ZIP file and unpack it on your laptop. There will be six FRQs, three with calculator, three without. Each file has the following sections.

  1. The question. You should do the problem on the first page without looking at the solution. Give yourself 15min.
  2. The solution and rubric for the question. Score your response according to the rubric.
  3. Sample student responses. There will be a 9-point response, a 7-point response, and 6,5,3 point responses in that order. Review these responses and compare to yours. Consider how the work was organized, how answers were stated, how east/hard it was to read the handwriting, etc.
  4. A commentary from the Collage board for each student response discussing why they earned the score they did for that problem.
You should do all six problems.
