5-1 Practice Tests

posted May 1, 2018, 1:43 PM by Nikhil Joshi   [ updated May 1, 2018, 1:44 PM ]

Both multiple choice tests in one file. Take in one sitting, no calculator on the first part, with calculator on the second part. Take together so you get used to the length of time. Stamina can be an issue!

Weekend Practice Tests

posted Apr 20, 2018, 7:51 AM by Nikhil Joshi   [ updated Apr 20, 2018, 7:52 AM ]

Below are your practice tests for this weekend. They are multiple choice, with and without calculators.
  • Take them under testing conditions - no distractions, quiet environment, no breaks, with the given time restrictions.
  • I suggest you print them and not use them online.
  • I suggest you take them both in one sitting so you get used to a two hour test - build your stamina. On the AP Test you will take no-calculators first, then with calculators.
I will provide the answers on Monday.

Winter Break Assignment

posted Dec 18, 2017, 11:21 AM by Nikhil Joshi   [ updated Dec 18, 2017, 12:17 PM ]

It's important for everyone in AP Calculus to practice calculus over break so you don't forget your basic skills and concepts.

Current Grade Winter Break Assignment Notes
85%-100% Study as you normally do. As usual, for those of you with an 85% or higher, I will leave you to your own devices to study and practice over break. Whatever you're doing it's working pretty well, but I encourage you to keep doing it over break.
80%-84% Review and practice Khan Academy lessons for test topics (not standards topics). Your basic skills are good. Review Khan Academy content for limits and derivatives that are not assessed via standards - topics like continuity, implicit derivatives, etc. These are the concepts that appeared on tests, but not on regular quizzes (the Blue Units). Practice these test-level concepts on KA until you are at Level 2 or higher in several of these areas. I'll let you decide what you need to study.
79% or lower Review and practice Khan Academy lessons for Standards topics. Your basic skills need to improve and you need to reassess standards when we return from break. You should review all Khan Academy content related to standards 1.5, 1.6, 2.2, 2.3, and 2.5 (the Red Units). Go to the Limits and Derivatives pages under Previous Units, and click on the Khan Academy links. Review that contents and take practice assessment on KA until you are at level 1 or higher in all the standards topics.
