### AP Calc AB Announcements

#### 9/10 T0 Do

Now that the year has started I need you to complete the following. A - Sign up for Khan Academy if you haven't already
B - Please take my calculus student survey |

#### Summer HW Assignment Update

Hi Everyone, If you're a new student who is just now logging in for the summer assignment, you may not see it for at least a week. Because of the way Khan Academy works, I have to log in and assign the exercises to students who have newly joined the class. I will be out of town this week with spotty internet access until Sunday. So keep checking every day in case I managed to log in and update the assignments. |

#### Recommended Summer Homework

I have posted the recommended summer homework. Although the homework isn't required and won't be turned in for a grade, I highly recommend you do it. It provides a review of the most important algebra and pre-calculus topics for AP Calculus. The goal is for you to review what you've already learned and to stay sharp over the summer so you are ready for AP calculus on day 1. There will be a test on this review material on the first or second day of class so the homework is designed to help you get ready for that pre-test. |

#### Test Reflections

The chapter 9 and chapter 3 test reflections are posted below. Chapter 9 (Diff Eqs) is due Monday 5/28 by midnight on Trello. Chapter 3 (Applications of derivatives) is due Monday June 4th by midnight on Trello. |

#### 5/8 - Don't Forget Khan Academy!

All the previous chapter pages can be found under Previous Units, with links to specific KA videos and practice. Here's the whole AP Calculus AB curriculum on KA |

#### 5-1 Practice Tests

Both multiple choice tests in one file. Take in one sitting, no calculator on the first part, with calculator on the second part. Take together so you get used to the length of time. Stamina can be an issue! |

#### 4/25, 4/26 Practice Tests

Here are free response practice questions and solutions. Note that the solutions to FR-YesCalc include the first part of the no calculator FR questions (and vice versa) so avert your eyes if you don't want spoilers. |

#### Weekend Practice Tests

Below are your practice tests for this weekend. They are multiple choice, with and without calculators. - Take them under testing conditions - no distractions, quiet environment, no breaks, with the given time restrictions.
- I suggest you print them and not use them online.
- I suggest you take them both in one sitting so you get used to a two hour test - build your stamina. On the AP Test you will take no-calculators first, then with calculators.
I will provide the answers on Monday. |
